It looks as if the Ambient Occlusion
setting from the Unity Publish Processing stack (obtained from the asset retailer) solely works with a Perspective digital camera, but I have never come throughout any documentation stating that that is the case or that it lacks help for Orthographic.
All the opposite settings within the stack appear to be working in each Perspective and Orthographic.
Is that this a bug, or one thing I am not doing proper or understanding?

I could be incorrect right here however SSAO depends on the depth buffer of the digital camera. Since a orthographic projection doesn’t consider the space of the thing from the digital camera this may end in a depth buffer that can’t be used with the SSAO shaders.
